Once upon a time in a nearby place
lived a girl moving with no pace
A young girl, fragile and naive
fairytales she will still believe
Rapuzel has climbed down this tower
While she envies every flower
Gazing out towards the dawn
Wanting in love and fawn
Cinderella’s slipper has long been found
While she scrubs the dirty ground
Shut inside her lonely attic
Praying for an ending not tragic
Sleeping Beauty’s roused from her sleep
While her beautiful eyes shut very deep
Trapped inside a horrible nightmare
With no prince to take the risk or even dare
Snow White’s apple is down the drain
While among the dead roses she’s been lain
The reddest apple she could bite
Still she knows it’s not worth the fight
With broken eyes she looks above
Hoping one day, to take off her glove
But sometimes reality cuts you like a blade
All the things you thought were real, slowly fade
nothing is real for all is fake
its a life for us we make
but there’s still hope somewhere inside
hoping to relive what was lost to the sands of time
